- Obtain glucose reading via glucometer
- Assess patient for Stroke symptoms, using the Cincinnati Pre-hospital Stroke Scale for facial droop, pronator drift, and speech
- Determine as accurately as possible the time of symptom onset
- Transport to the closest appropriate hospital
